We (Lothar and myself) had fun to see about 1000 kids, in the Elserhalle in Munich. Soon we’ve checked out that we were the oldest guys in between of the crowded hall. Some of them are sure laughing about these boring old farts in Ramones T-Shirt and some looking up to us as we would be someone special. The German support band “Blow Something” brings the crowd through a 40 minutes aggressive, powerful show and sound also as trough some childish stinky punky words to dance pogo and be prepared for the main act. Than the Misfits came on stage, Jerry the singer introduced the first and last living big Ramones star “Marky Ramone” onto stage.  We believe he must felt like the master himself as he greets the fans in front of the stage. Minimum the half of the kids had Ramone t-shirts on and a quarter Misfits one. They starting the show with a couple of Misfits songs which sounds like a well doing cover band (no one on stage was in the original line-up of the Misfits also as from The Ramones). The guitarist Dez are used to play before in the Black Flag noise army and played a massive distortion flying v guitar. He looks like a death make-up hippy. Jerry looks like a future Heracles and Casper of Death. After a few songs Marky comes in the front of stage again and told the crowd if they want to hear Ramones songs than they should sing one. The whole crowd was yelling “Hey Ho Let Go”. Than they’ve played about 5 Songs like “Wanna be Sedated” in a good 1-2-3-4 manner without any great break between the songs. Marks drum stile during the set was like a real fast exactly clockwork. Respect M! Jerry surprised me with a real good voice for Ramones songs and Dez had a non compromised guitar playing. Than after a couple of Misfits songs another Ramones ones as Blitzkrieg Pop drives the kids crazy! Before they played the last songs Marky comes a third time in front of the stage. He gave the Ramones fans, Jerry, Dez and his personally Roady (He where the whole time behind Marky to supported him with towels and drinks) a big fat thanks. And he earn more applause as in all the times before with The Ramones. After the concert I saw all peoples going out with a smile in the face and I think that’s the real important thing. But some of them which saw the Ramones, Joey or DeeDee live performing in past missed some kind of heart and soul into that show. In fact for me it was funny and a pleasure to enjoy the one hour show of a real good Ramones and Misfits cover band include one of the best Ramones drummer ever Mister Marky Ramone.

Keep on rocking! G. Seckler 2004-11-29
